Nurse on Call is Ireland’s leading nursing agency and approved supplier to all HSE hospitals nationwide. Their challenge was to digitise the manual input of timesheets onto the payroll system for a more efficient and streamlined process. To address this, they approached us about developing a Mobile App that would refine and speed up the entire workflow.
The previous process required nurses to navigate a maze of paperwork and obtain the signatures of nurse supervisors at their respective work sites. The timesheets were then delivered to the Nurse on Call’s office, where a dedicated team painstakingly transcribed them into the payroll system, resulting in time delays, human error, and process inefficiencies.
The Nurse on Call Mobile App provides an easy way to record and manage shifts that fully replaces paper timesheets.
Nurses and carers can select hospitals, specify shift hours, log them and have them approved directly through the app. Once a shift is completed, the data tied to each nurse’s unique code is securely transferred to a cloud-based backend.
System administrators can review and confirm the shifts reported by nurses, making paper timesheets redundant. We also provided a cloud-based interface for the payroll team, simplifying the integration of shift data into their systems.
Transitioning to a new system can be daunting for many so with that in mind, we incorporated in-app support and created a straightforward video tutorial breaking down the app’s functionalities into 5 easy steps to support users and speed up adoption.
This app eliminates the need for physical timesheets, reducing manual error and improving payroll processing by making it more streamlined and efficient.
